Team Nanny

Dear Friends and Family,

Our dearest Auntie Nanny is fighting the most terrible battle ever - Ovarian Cancer.  It is robbing her and her family (and all of us) of everything that is important.

While I believe in miracles, I don't think miracles will cure my Aunt or any other women with this deadly Cancer. Only money and research (and awareness) will allow us to beat this terrible Cancer into submission forever.

I would love for you to join our team, "Team Nanny" on Sept 9th to help raise awareness and funds. If you cannot join us, please consider making a donation to "Team Nanny".

Thank you!
Dawn Ewonus

PS - Below is some suggested wording for this message; which gives you a bit more info about why anyone participates in this event

Today, thousands of Canadian women are living with ovarian cancer and another 2,800 will be diagnosed this year.

Each of these women is central to a family. Every one of these women has people who love her. Just being there to support and honor her means everything. That’s why our team is participating with thousands of others at the Ovarian Cancer Canada Walk of Hope.

The Walk celebrates the hope we carry with us every day – the hope for a future without this disease.

Every dollar we raise supports Ovarian Cancer Canada, the only national charity entirely dedicated to this important cause. Funds will be used to provide support, increase awareness, and fund vital research so that we can change the future for the women we love.

Please provide your support by giving generously. Better yet, if you are up for a challenge this September, come out and join us. Together we can make a difference.
