Our Supernova Sandy
2019 Ovarian Cancer Canada Walk of Hope in Toronto, Ontario
A year ago in August, we lost our dear friend Sandy to Ovarian Cancer in the prime of her life. She was fighting the disease and had taken many different measures to manage her health. She surpassed the odds but she could not beat this disease. We need to do more to support women with Ovarian Cancer as research has been limited and outcomes have not improved in the past five decades.
Our goal is to raise attention and provide funding so that one day there will be a cure for this type of cancer. We need your help as we have an ambitious goal to raise $100,000. Every dollar raised goes to support Ovarian Cancer Canada, the only national charity entirely dedicated to this cause. Funds will be used to provide support, increase awareness and fund vital research to change the future for women in Canada.
Please consider a generous donation to this important Walk of Hope. Better yet, if you can join us, please come out for the 5 km walk on September 8, 2019. We honour Sandy's six year fight to overcome this disease and her determination to learn and impart better outcomes for women with Ovarian Cancer. Together we can make a difference.
