Welcome to My Personal Page!
In Canada today, there are 17,000 women living with ovarian cancer. In 2007 my mother lost her battle and I walk to honour her and continue her work in raising awareness and support - the hope for a future without this disease.
This walk is special to me because my family, although seperated by geography, collectively participate in the walk in our respective locations. I am so proud of my nieces and nephew who walk and now my own son who although he will never know his nana in the physical world he will know her strong character, big heart, tireless work ethic and goofy sense of humour through our stories and experiences; one important one being this walk as we celebrate her.
Every dollar I raise supports Ovarian Cancer Canada, the only national charity entirely dedicated to this important cause. Funds will be used to provide support, increase awareness and fund vital research.
Please support my Walk by giving generously. Better yet, if you are up for a challenge this September, please consider joining me.
Together we can make a difference.
