Welcome to My Personal Page!
In Canada today, there are 17,000 women living with ovarian cancer. Each of these women is central to a family, every one of these women have people who love her. This year, I am walking for HER.
I am walking because ovarian cancer affects communities. It’s certainly touched my life, and it needs to be stopped.
This walk is special to me because it honours women and families touched by ovarian cancer and celebrates the hope that I carry with me every day – the hope for a future without this disease.
In 2012, I was diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer. At the time, I didn't know what it was, or how I even got it. I went through 6 months of Chemotherapy. The love & support from my family & friends was the best medicine that I could have received to fight hard and beat Cancer.
Today, I can happily say that I have been in remission for 6 years and I have all of you to thank! I celebrate this day with all of my family & friends who have supported me & stood by me. I will continue to fight, not only for myself, but for those women that are also battling this disease.
Every dollar I raise supports Ovarian Cancer Canada, the only national charity entirely dedicated to this important cause. Funds will be used to provide support, increase awareness and fund vital research.
Please support my Walk by giving generously. Better yet, if you are up for a challenge this September 9th, please consider joining me. Together we can make a difference.
