Welcome to My Personal Page!
In Canada today, there are 17,000 women living with ovarian cancer. Each of these women is central to a family, every one of these women have people who love her. This year, I am walking for HER.
I am walking because ovarian cancer affects communities. It’s certainly touched my life, and it needs to be stopped. I'm walking in memory of my loving and best friend my MOM !! The symptoms came on so quickly . It was a rollercoaster for us all . My mom spent almost 8 months in the hospital . We need to try to get the suppport and the awareness out to help others with this fast disease before we see more love ones lose their battle. We hear it more and more every day with someone getting that very bad news ...you have ovarian cancer.
It was the SILENT KILLER for my Mom . I know the symptoms now but a lot of ladies don't !! . We know our own body the smallest symptom could make the first and early detection.
This walk is special to me because it honours women and families touched by ovarian cancer and celebrates the hope that I carry with me every day – the hope for a future without this disease.
Every dollar I raise supports Ovarian Cancer Canada, the only national charity entirely dedicated to this important cause. Funds will be used to provide support, increase awareness and fund vital research.
Please support my Walk by giving generously. Better yet, if you are up for a challenge this September, please consider joining me. Together we can make a difference.
Thank you very much to you all for your support
