In Memory of Mumsie (Lesley Annett)
Not a day goes by I do not miss my mother, Lesley Annett. She was a 'hoot', which has become a word that symbolizes her memory. To many that's who she was, but to me she was just Mumsie. A strong, hard working woman who guided me and my sister in the right direction in our lives (of course I have dad to thank for that as well). She was a positive influence, great role model, and was a force to be reckoned with.
My family and I, along with a great many friends, have found cause to honour mom's memory by supporting Ovarian Cancer though the Walk of Hope. The continued support of a great army of caring individuals, willing to donate their time and/or financial support, is nothing short of amazing.
I want to continue to do what I can to make a difference, and the walk of hope is an opportunity for us to help raise awareness and raise money for an excellent cause.
Every dollar I raise supports Ovarian Cancer Canada, the only national charity entirely dedicated to this important cause. Funds will be used to provide support, increase awareness and fund vital research.
Much love to friends and family everywhere for your continued support - together we are strong.
