Welcome to My Personal Page!
Once again this year I will be joining my community to walk for all women and families affected by ovarian cancer.
This year in Canada 2,800 women will be diagnosed with this disease and half will not survive past five years.
The Walk celebrates the hope I carry with me every day – the hope for a future without this disease.
As an 18 year survivor of ovarian cancer I'm walking to give hope; I'm walking to raise awareness; I’m walking to raise valuable funds to support women living with cancer and to fund research that will find a means for early detection, improve treatments for women and one day eradicate this disease.
I’m walking so that those women living with ovarian cancer know they are not alone.
Survivors like me walking along side women recently diagnosed is important. Together we raise awareness, support women living with ovarian cancer, not just newly diagnosed women, but those with occurrences.
For the fifth year I’ll be proudly walking as a team captain of the PoleWalkers for a Cure.
Help make a much-needed difference by donating to the Ovarian Cancer Canada Walk of Hope and joining me at the Walk.
Your donation can help women with ovarian cancer and all women at risk of the disease live fuller, better, longer lives.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
