Welcome to My Personal Page!
Once again, in memory of our daughter Jill, who passed away on 14 November 2013 after almost five years living with ovarian cancer, I'm joining the Ovarian Cancer Walk of Hope in Toronto this September, and inviting you to support and/or join me in this. We'll be walking in Toronto.
I'm no fan of charity (and not simply because of CRA harassment), much preferring solidarity, but this charity has some noteworthy attributes. Its donations are dedicated to research and education on a particularly deadly, difficult to detect, and low visibility cancer. Its primary research focus is on earlier diagnosis. It is ranked as one of the best charities in terms of its low administrative costs. And its Walks in communities large and small bring thogether in supportive ways both those afflicted and their families and friends.
You can donate electronically or, if concerned about NSA oversight, using a paper pledge form that I can send you. Our "team" is again called "A Family Affair" with our daughter Sarah as team captain. Charitable tax receipts will be sent to you in due time.
Thanks for your support.
