I walk for the future without Ovarian cancer
2 years ago I was in chemo for the 3rd time
Total chemo 22 rounds
1 clinical trial
Today with the help of a new drug that took years of research and millions of dollars I am in remission.
Doctors tell me I will never be cured , that I now have chronic ovarian cancer
I am here to prove them WRONG
I walk for those including myself with ovarian cancer and I walk for the generations to come like my Granddaughter. I pray we find a cure so that they do not have to deal with this disease.
In Canada today, there are 17,000 women living with ovarian cancer. Each of these women is central to a family, every one of these women have people who love her. This year, I am walking for HER.
I am walking because ovarian cancer affects communities. It’s certainly touched my life, and it needs to be stopped.
This walk is special to me because it honours women and families touched by ovarian cancer and celebrates the hope that I carry with me every day – the hope for a future without this disease.
Every dollar I raise supports Ovarian Cancer Canada, the only national charity entirely dedicated to this important cause. Funds will be used to provide support, increase awareness and fund vital research.
Please support my Walk by giving generously. Better yet, if you are up for a challenge this September, please consider joining me. Together we can make a difference.
