Welcome to My Personal Page!
Once again this year, on Sunday September 8, I will be joining our friends on team Dine and Dash and others in the community to walk for all women and families affected by ovarian cancer. This year in Canada, 2,800 woman will be diagnosed with this disease and half will not survive past five years. Every contribution will help Ovarian Cancer Canada change lives affected by ovarian cancer through research, advocacy and support. Please help make a much needed difference by donating to the Ovarian Cancer Walk of Hope.
As most of you know, my wife Susan was diagnosed in January 2015 with Ovarian Cancer. At this point, she is now 50 months post chemo and continues to do well. We are very thankful for her continuing good health which has allowed us to continue to travel and spend time with our grandchildren. We are excitedly awaiting the arrival of a fourth grandchild within the next two months! Susan, however, like thousands of other women in Canada living with ovarian cancer wakes daily to the reality of this terrible disease and the knowledge that the search for a cure continues.
For the past 4 years, through the generous support of friends like you, our team - Dine and Dash has been one of the top fund raising teams in Winnipeg and has ranked high nationally. Thank you very much for this support. Last year we raised $9,300 and it would be great to be able to repeat and even improve on this success in 2019. Please consider a donation in support of Dine and Dash, but more importantly, in support of Overian Cancer Canada. Every dollar raised supports Ovarian Cancer Canada, the only national charity entirely dedicated to this important cause. Funds will be used to provide support, increase awareness and fund vital research.
I know that many of you have other equally worthwhile causes which you support. I am sending you this message to let you know that making a donation to the Walk of Hope in support of Overian Cancer Canada is a possibility.
Thank you for considering this and
All the Best!
