On September 14, 2012 we lost our Mom, our Grandma, our Great-grandma, and the most special person in our lives to her battle with Ovarian cancer. She fought hard for seven years and even in her final days, she was the one holding all of us up. 2012 was the first year we participated in the walk, and although we lost her just a few days later, we have continued this tradition in her memory.
"If there ever comes a day when we can't be together, keep me in your heart, and I will stay forever"
~ Winnie the Pooh
Today, thousands of Canadian women are living with ovarian cancer and another 2,800 will be diagnosed this year.
Each of these women is central to a family. Every one of these women has people who love her. Just being there to support and honor her means everything. That’s why our team is participating with thousands of others at the Ovarian Cancer Canada Walk of Hope.
The Walk celebrates the hope we carry with us every day – the hope for a future without this disease.
Every dollar we raise supports Ovarian Cancer Canada, the only national charity entirely dedicated to this important cause. Funds will be used to provide support, increase awareness, and fund vital research so that we can change the future for the women we love.
Please provide your support by giving generously. Better yet, if you are up for a challenge this September, come out and join us. Together we can make a difference.
