Welcome to my personal page!
In 2014 I lost my wonderful aunt, Louise (Weezie) to ovarian cancer. During her illness, I learned a lot about this most serious women's cancer. For example, there is no early detection test for ovarian cancer, and outcomes have not changed much in the past thirty years.
My cousin Marina has been involved with fundraising for Ovarian Cancer Canada and the Walk of Hope in Weezie’s honour. Every year I have supported Team Weezie. I was planning to be in Newfoundland this September to participate in the yearly Walk of Hope in St. John’s, but unfortunately had to return home early. However, I am pledging my support to this team and will be walking in my neighbourhood.
As most of you know, I lost my Mom this year. For years she was an avid Fundraiser. Remembering her enthusiasm and pure willpower to get out there to support meaningful causes inspired me to follow in her footsteps. Supporting research and early detection for women with Ovarian Cancer will make a world of difference for them and their families.
Go Team Weezie!
