A Walk for My Sister, Maribel Oropeo Dizon
Ovarian Cancer Canada Walk of Hope event raises vital funds to provide support, raise awareness and fund much needed research into prevention, improved treatments and ultimately, a cure so that we can change the future for the women we love.
This is our 8th year participating in the Ovarian Cancer Canada Walk of Hope after my sister, Maribel Dizon was diagnosed with Ovarian cancer last December 2011. She passed away last June 7, 2017 at the age of 57. A true inspiration to her family and friends. She gave me courage and strengthen my faith when I was diagnosed with the same disease last September 2015. It was early detected and now cancer-free!
I walk because of my sister, Maribel. I walk for those who have been touched by ovarian cancer and celebrates the hope for a future without this disease. My sister has been a great supporter of this walk for the previous years and I know she will be with us during this walk!
Please support my walk by giving to this worthy cause. Every dollar counts. Better yet, if you are up for a challenge, please consider joining our team, MarLen Super Warriors on September 8, Sunday at Queen Elizabeth Park at 9:00 am.
Thank you and God bless.
