Thank you for your support
I've been participating in the Ovarian Cancer Walk since it started in Victoria many years ago. I walk every year in memory of my mom, Tracy (pictured) as well as a dear former co-worker, Joanne. Anyone who's been touched by this disease knows how silent it is, and this walk helps in raising funds for research, for those women and their families currently dealing with Ovarian Cancer, and one of the most important things, raising awareness.
I hope you'll consider donating, as unlike many other forms of cancer, there is no early detection or screening. The only way to detect is to listen to your body and know the signs and symptoms and bring up any concerns to your doctor.
Thank you all ever so much for your support over the years :) I appreciate your donations and hope to see some of you this year at the walk <3
Today, thousands of Canadian women are living with ovarian cancer and another 2,800 will be diagnosed this year.
Each of these women is central to a family. Every one of these women has people who love her. Just being there to support and honor her means everything. That’s why I’m participating with thousands of others at the Ovarian Cancer Canada Walk of Hope.
The Walk celebrates the hope I carry with me every day – the hope for a future without this disease.
Every dollar I raise supports Ovarian Cancer Canada, the only national charity entirely dedicated to this important cause. Funds will be used to provide support, increase awareness, and fund vital research so that we can change the future for the women we love.
Please provide your support by giving generously. Better yet, if you are up for a challenge this September, come out and join me. Together we can make a difference.
