Diane's Personal Page
As most of you are aware, my sister Lydia was diagnosed in the summer of 2015 with ovarian cancer. Lydia lost her courageous battle in April. She was an admirable advocate for Ovarian Cancer Canada and we would like to continue what she started - walking 3 years ago alongside her army of family and friends. We know she will be with us in spirit. Lydia would have wanted us to continue bringing awareness and to make every effort in raising monies in the search for a screening test and a cure for Ovarian cancer.
Every woman living with Ovarian Cancer is central to a family. Every one of these women has people who love her. Just being there to support and honor these women means everything. That’s why I’m rallying with the community at the Ovarian Cancer Canada Walk of Hope. The Walk of Hope is in many cities across Canada. We are participating in the Niagara Falls location on Sunday September 8th.
The Walk celebrates the hope I carry with me every day – the hope for a future without this disease.
Every dollar I raise supports Ovarian Cancer Canada, the only national charity entirely dedicated to this important cause. Funds will be used to provide support, increase awareness, and fund vital research so that we can change the future for all the women living with ovarian cancer and those who will be diagnosed.
Please feel free to participate in any way you are able to. Making a donation, joining us in the walk, cheering us on or just thinkinig of us on September 8th.
