Vicky's Walk of Hope
Welcome to my page, thank you so much for checking it out!
In case you didn't know, in early 2014 I became quite ill and was taken to the hospital after having a seizure. Once there I grew more and more sick and there was no explanation in sight. Luckily a new doctor mentioned the possibility of a condition called Anti-NMDA receptor encephalitis which can be triggered by an ovarian tumor.
An ultrasound was done and a 9cm aggressive immature teratoma tumor was discovered. The tumor was removed shortly afterwards but my body was too weak for chemo so it was a waiting game to see if I would pull through on my own. I was put into a medically induced coma which I would not wake from for 3 months.
Thankfully I did end up waking up, and started on the very long journey back to full health. I am 4 years post diagnosis and I am looking forward to the day when I no longer have check ups and can say with confience that I am Cancer Free!
