Welcome to My Personal Page!
In Canada today, there are 17,000 women living with ovarian cancer. Most of these women are central to a family; every one of these women have people who love them.
I am walking because ovarian cancer certainly touched my life, and that of my friends and family. I walk in memory of my dear friend Monica Baker. Monica faught relentlessly for 5 years; operations, procedures, chemo, medication, eating this, not eating that. It was a long fight which she pursued with positivity and purpose. Throughout it all Monica was not only thoughtful of her family and friends needs but also of others suffering with the disease. Her battle overcame her in Oct 2012.
This walk is special to me because it honours women and families touched by ovarian cancer and celebrates the hope that I carry with me every day – the hope for a future without this disease.
Every dollar we raise supports Ovarian Cancer Canada, the only national charity entirely dedicated to this important cause. Funds will be used to provide support, increase awareness and fund vital research.
Please support my Walk by giving generously.
