Welcome to my personal page!
Today, thousands of Canadian women are living with ovarian cancer.
Each of these women is central to a family. Every one of these women has people who love her. Just being there to support and honor her means everything. That’s why I’m participating with thousands of others at the Ovarian Cancer Canada Walk of Hope.
I am walking with colleagues from Odlum Brown, friends and family. Ovarian cancer has affected my family directly. My mother-in-law, Linda, who participated in last year's walk with her husband, daughters and granddaughters is an ovarian cancer survivor. She was diagnosed 18 years ago and although she went through a terrible time during her treatment for the disease, today Linda is enjoying a cancer free life. Many women diagnosed with ovarian cancer aren't so fortunate. This disease can be inherited, so one of reasons for my involvement is to do what I can to help women like my daughters and niece who might be predisposed to ovarian cancer risk, have better options and outcomes than women have today.
Every dollar I raise supports Ovarian Cancer Canada, the only national charity entirely dedicated to this important cause. Funds will be used to provide support, increase awareness, and fund vital research so that we can change the future for the women we love.
