Today, thousands of Canadian women are living with ovarian cancer and another 2,800 will be diagnosed this year.
My name is Gail Robitaille, I'm 52 years old and was diagnosed with Stage 3C in 2013 at the age of 46. I have a 15 year old son and wonderful husband who has been there everyday to support me.
I have been living with ovarian cancer for the last 6 years. I have undergone surgeries, and so far on my 6th line of chemo which included two clinical trials that put me on remission for 14 months. I am greatful that I'm still here and have a good quality of life considering everything. Research is extremely important as it gives us more time/years with our loved ones and more importantly saves lives.
