Today, thousands of Canadian women are living with ovarian cancer.
I was one of the lucky ones. I had a rare, slow growing cancer that we caught at stage one. Most other women don't discover it until stage three or stage four because the symptons are so difficult to recognize.
This year I got married to an amazing man and our wedding guests generously contributed $2,500 to Ovarian Cancer Canada. When we returned from our honeymoon, we found out that one of our friends was diaganosed with stage two Ovarian Cancer. I signed up for the Walk to raise even more money.
The Walk celebrates the hope for a future without this disease.
