Thank you for visiting our page!
On September 8th I’ll be walking for my Mom & all the ladies who have been affected by this disease. As some of you may know she was diagnosed with ovarian cancer July 2018.
Today, thousands of Canadian women are living with ovarian cancer and another 2,800 will be diagnosed this year. Ovarian cancer is the 5th most common cancer for women and is the most serious women’s cancer.
There is no reliable screening test for this disease, and that is why it is almost always found at later stages. Often with no signs or symptoms before diagnosis.
The Walk celebrates the hope I carry with me every day – the hope for a future without this disease.
Every dollar I raise supports Ovarian Cancer Canada, the only national charity that champions the health and well-being of women with ovarian cancer and others at risk of this disease. Funds will be used to fund vital research, spur advocacy efforts, and provide support so that we can help women with, or at risk of, ovarian cancer live fuller, better, longer lives.
Please provide your support by giving generously. Better yet, if you are up for a challenge this September, come out and join us! I invite you to join our team and walk with us on September 8th! We will be leaving at 9am from Queen Elizabeth Park. Click on the link to sign up or donate!
