Welcome to my personal page!
On September 8, 2019 I will be joining my community to walk for all women and families affected by ovarian cancer. Help make a much-needed difference by donating to the Ovarian Cancer Canada Walk of Hope or joining me at the Walk.
My family has been personally affected by the disease with loved ones passing from Ovarian Cancer. In September of 2016 this was brought closer to home when my 34 year old daughter was diagnosed with Stage 1C Ovarian Cancer. She was lucky, one of the few women who catch it early. Because of that early diagnosis, the care she received from her medical team and the support given to her by Ovarian Cancer Canada she is one of the 44% of women who survive.
This year in Canada 2,800 women will be diagnosed with this disease and half will not survive past five years. Every contribution will help Ovarian Cancer Canada change lives affected by ovarian cancer through research, advocacy, and support.

Your donation can help women with ovarian cancer and all women at risk of the disease live fuller, better, longer lives. Here's how:
$35 allows Ovarian Cancer Canada to deliver a "By Your Side" guide to help one of the 2,800 women diagnosed with ovarian cancer each year in Canada
$75 supports advocacy efforts to further research of ovarian cancer to enable prevention and more effective treatments, and ultimately to improve survival.
$125 inspires leading minds to pursue careers in ovarian cancer research to help save women's lives
$250 supports OVdialogue, an online community for women living ovarian cancer to connect from anywhere in the country at any time of any day
$500 advances ovarian cancer research projects, funded jointly by the Cancer Research Society, which doubles your donation!
Each of these women is central to a family. Every one of these women has people who love her. Just being there to support and honour her means everything. That’s why I’m participating with thousands of others at the Ovarian Cancer Canada Walk of Hope.
The Walk celebrates the hope I carry with me every day – the hope for a future without this disease.
Every dollar I raise supports Ovarian Cancer Canada, the only national charity that champions the health and well-being of women with ovarian cancer and others at risk of this disease. Funds will be used to fund vital research, spur advocacy efforts, and provide support so that we can help women with, or at risk of, ovarian cancer live fuller, better, longer lives.
Please provide your support by giving generously. Better yet, if you are up for a challenge this September, come out and join me. Together we can make a difference.
