In Canada today, there are 17,000 women living with ovarian cancer. Each of these women is central to a family, every one of these women have people who love her. This year, our team is walking for HER.

As most of you know I was diagnosed in Marh 2014 with ovarian cancer, after surgery to remove both of my ovaries at the age of 31 the bioppsy confirmed my worst fears.  Once recovered from surgery I  immediately underwent 18 weeks of dose dense chemotharpy to ensure any remants were gone.  Every day I learn a new thing about my body and how two small organs can make such a huge difference in ones life.

We are walking because ovarian cancer affects communities. It’s certainly touched our lives, and we need to stop it.

This walk is special to our team because it honours women and families touched by ovarian cancer and celebrates the hope that we carry with us every day – the hope for a future without this disease.

Every dollar our team raises supports Ovarian Cancer Canada, the only national charity entirely dedicated to this important cause. Funds will be used to provide support, increase awareness and fund vital research.

Please support our team with your donation. Better yet, if you are up for a challenge this September, please consider joining us. We’d be proud to have you walking as a member of our team.

Together we can make a difference.
