Hummingbirds of Hope
Today, thousands of Canadian women are living with ovarian cancer and another 2,800 will be diagnosed this year.
My mother, Bev Harris, passed away just over 2 years ago from Ovarian Cancer. Her life touched so many people and was the strongest womeon on this planet. After an 8 year long battle, still living her life to the fullest she let go and joined God. Today we honour her in everyway we can, and raising money for this cause is something she would be so proud of.
The Walk celebrates the hope we carry with us every day – the hope for a future without this disease.
Every dollar I raise supports Ovarian Cancer Canada, the only national charity that champions the health and well-being of women with ovarian cancer and others at risk of this disease. Funds will be used to fund vital research, spur advocacy efforts, and provide support so that we can change the future and help women live fuller, better, longer lives.
Please provide your support by giving generously. Better yet, if you are up for a challenge this September, come out and join us. Together we can make a difference.
