2019 Ovarian Cancer Canada Walk of Hope in Winnipeg, Manitoba

Fearless Fighters

In Canada today, there are 17,000 women living with ovarian cancer. Each of these women is central to a family, every one of these women have people who love her. This year, our team is walking for HER. Fearless Fighters was a team started in support of Doris Adair who was diagnosed with cancer August 2011. We lost our captain and amazing lady to this disease March 7th, 2014.

Doris was a mother, sister, aunt, friend, hostess with the mostest, curler enthusiast, a rock to many and so much more. It is too late to save our angel but we hope to save other families from the pain we have experienced.

We are walking because ovarian cancer affects communities. It’s certainly touched our lives, and we need to stop it!

This walk is special to our team because it honours women and families touched by ovarian cancer and celebrates the hope that we carry with us every day – the hope for a future without this disease.

Every dollar our team raises supports Ovarian Cancer Canada, the only national charity entirely dedicated to this important cause. Funds will be used to provide support, increase awareness and fund vital research.

Please support our team with your donation. Better yet, if you are up for a challenge this September, please consider joining us. We’d be proud to have you walking as a member of our team.

Together we can make a difference.
