Third Time's a Charm!!
Today, thousands of Canadian women are living with ovarian cancer.
I was one of the lucky ones. I had a rare, slow growing cancer that we caught at stage one. Most other women don't discover it until stage three or stage four because the symptoms are so difficult to recognize.
I was in the middle of training for the 2018 Boston Marathon when ovarian cancer sidelined me. I roared back and requalified, but my Boston dreams were once again postponed because of COVID. Ultimately, the 2020 Boston Marathon was a virtual race that I ran in Calgary with the help of some amazing friends.
The 2021 Boston Marathon will be run in Boston on October 11th and I will be there to complete my marathon dream and raise money for Ovarian Cancer Canada. The third time is a charm!!!
Thank you for donating to a future without ovarian cancer!
