Welcome to My Personal Page
Hi family and friends. In September 2018, I was diagnosed with Stage 3b Ovarian Cancer and underwent extensive surgery in October followed by 12 chemotherapy treatments at Royal Victoria Hospital in Barrie, Ontario. In September 2019, my oncologist confirmed that my cancer had returned and I was referred to Princess Margaret Cancer Centre in Toronto. Fortunately I was eligible to be enrolled in a clinical trial and thanks to an experimental oral drug (cediranib), I am still here to enjoy life with family and friends.
Today, thousands of Canadian women are living with ovarian cancer and another 2,800 will be diagnosed this year.
Each of these women is central to a family. Every one of these women has people who love her. Just being there to support and honour her means everything. That’s why I’m joining the thousands of other participants at the Ovarian Cancer Canada Walk of Hope.
Every dollar we raise supports Ovarian Cancer Canada, the only national charity that champions the health and well-being of women with ovarian cancer and others at risk of this disease. Funds will be used to fund vital research, spur advocacy efforts, and provide support so that we can help women with, or at risk of, ovarian cancer live fuller, better, longer lives.
Thank you for your support. Together we can make a difference.
