Welcome to My Personal Page!
Along with my team, the PoleWalkers for a Cure, for the eighth year I will be proudly walking for all women and families affected by ovarian cancer.
This year is a very special year for me as it is my 20th anniversary year being cancer free. I feel so fortunate to have the continuing support of so many. I know the importance of giving back and try in my small way to change and save the lives of women. I know first hand the effect ovarian cancer can have on us, our families and our friends.
The Walk celebrates the hope I carry with me every day – the hope for a future without this disease.
I'm walking to give hope; I'm walking to raise awareness; I’m walking to raise valuable funds to support women living with cancer and to fund research that will find a means for early detection, improve treatments for women and one day eradicate this disease.
I’m walking so that those women living with ovarian cancer know they are not alone.
With the persistent Covid 19 pandemic touching the lives of so many, we must, more than ever, support the women, recently diagnosed and those living with Ovarian Cancer. They and their families are living in a time of great uncertainty.
This will be another challenging year for fundraising. But to celebrate my 20th anniversary, I'm aiming high and my team fundraising goal will be $20,000.
Help me make a much-needed difference by donating to the Ovarian Cancer Canada Walk of Hope and joining me on the virtual Walk.
Your donation can help women with ovarian cancer and all women at risk of the disease live fuller, better, longer lives. We can make a difference.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
