2021 Walk - Okanagan Valley (Kelowna), BC

Cynthia's Warriors

Today, thousands of Canadian women are living with ovarian cancer and another 2,800 will be diagnosed this year.

Each of these women is central to a family. Every one of these women have people who love her and are by her side trying to fight this beast called Ovarian Cancer !

We walk as personal Warriors for Cynthia, (our team captain's sister), who lost her battle with Ovarian Cancer in January 2017 at the age of 42.  Cynthia was an amazing mother, daughter, sister, aunt and a friend to many.  She fought valiantly showing such strength and courage througout her journey and reminded us all regularly to have HOPE and FAITH !  We will continue this fight in her memory and in support of others going through the same battle.

The Walk celebrates the hope we carry with us every day – the hope for a future without this disease.

This year’s goal is to raise $2.1 million. Every dollar we raise supports Ovarian Cancer Canada, the only national charity entirely dedicated to this important cause. Funds will be used to provide support, increase awareness, and fund vital research so that we can change the future for the women we love.

Please provide your support by giving generously. Better yet, if you are up for a challenge this September, come out and join us. Together we can make a difference.
