Welcome to my personal page!
I am participating again this year to the Walk of Hope to raise awareness on ovarian cancer. The walk takes place every year in September, but this year, due to the ongoing pandemic, it will take a different form. We won't be able to gather in one place. Instead, each participant will do their own challenge at their place of choice.
This year, I am challenging myself to run! I will run 5 kilometers, supported by my son and darling (by bike or by car ;-) ) to take pictures (or proofs :-) ).
September is the Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month. The walk of hope is an activity that raises essential funds to support women affected by this disease, raise awareness, improve treatments and, ultimately, find a way to cure this disease.
Ovarian cancer is the deadliest female cancer in Canada. One in two women does not survive beyond five years after their diagnosis. And this year, nearly 3,000 women will be diagnosed across the country, without knowing much about this cancer.
Every dollar I raise will support Ovarian Cancer Canada, the only national charity dedicated to this cause.
Breakthroughs paid off last year and new treatments are starting to be introduced. I am personally a beneficiary of this research. I have a new maintenance treatment since June.
Thank you for supporting me by giving generously to the Walk of Hope. If you're ready for a challenge on September 13, join me and my little family (while keeping our distance). Together we can make a difference.
