Welcome to My Personal Page
Today, thousands of Canadian women are living with ovarian cancer and another 3,100 will be diagnosed this year.
Each of these women is central to a family. Every one of these women has people who love her. Just being there to support and honour her means everything. That’s why I’m joining the thousands of other participants at the Ovarian Cancer Canada Walk of Hope. The Walk celebrates the hope I carry with me every day – the hope for a future without this disease.
I am inspired to walk in memory of my late mother in-law, Lorette Kolla. She bravely fought against the disease but ultimately lost her five year battle with ovarian cancer. We miss her everyday and are working hard so that no other families feel this pain. In addition to walking and fundraising, my husband Dillon, myself and our incredible friend Jordon Loverin have made a goal to spin 3,100 km between May 8th (World Ovarian Cancer Day) to September 12 (walk day). These 3,100 kms will symbolize the 3,100 women who will be diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer this year. Our goal will be to raise $3,100 for the fight against Ovarian Cancer, so please support if you can! You can donate to Dillon on his page and find Jordon over on her page on the 'Mallory Gallery' team in Regina!
Every dollar I raise supports Ovarian Cancer Canada, the only national charity that champions the health and well-being of women with ovarian cancer and others at risk of this disease. Funds will be used to fund vital research, spur advocacy efforts, and provide support so that we can help women with, or at risk of, ovarian cancer live fuller, better, longer lives.
Please give generously. Better yet, this year’s Walk will happen in communities large and small, all across Canada. It is a virtual event and you can join me! Together we can make a difference.
