Here we go again!
Thanks to break-throughs in research, I am now taking Lynparza and this drug has kept the cancer in check for five years now. But - the drug itself is toxic - so a better option would be super for me.
Still - I am grateful. I have met too many women diagnosed with ovarian cancer not see this same good fortune. There MUST be a diagnostic! Ovarian Cancer Canada has dedicated themselves to helping us fund research, create support programs/ networks, and resources to help us live better and potentially longer lives. This - is why I volunteer as chair for the Barrie/ Simcoe-Muskoka Walk of Hope.
The region is huge - and the walking trails are spectacular! This year, another COVID year, I have created a Walk Doc which is an interactive tool that you can use to select which route(s) you would like to walk in the area. There are also live messages from Teal Sister survivors and family members of Sisters who have not survived this fatal disease.
Email me to request a copy of your "first ever" Walk Doc 2021!
