Val's Victorious Gals
Hello my friend,
It's that time of year again, for the 2021 Val's Victorious Gals Walk of Hope for Ovarian Cancer. I am hoping that you will join (rejoin) my team this year.
Although we are hopefully coming out of COVID the walk will be a Virtual Walk again this year. We had a great walk last year with our little get together here afterwards. Hopefully by next year we will back on track and have our big gathering as before at the park.
Val's Victorious Gals will still walk as a group again this year, most likely at Spencer Smith Park along Burlington's waters edge. It is such a beautiful peaceful walk along the boardwalk. It will be just our team. Details to be confirmed, but I would think timing should be about 9:30 am. I would like to invite you back to my house for beverages and a light lunch hopefully on the patio.
I truly appreciate your support throughout my journey with this disease. I started my battle October 2014 and for the last 7 years I have been standing strong due to advances made through research. I am on medication that continues to keep this disease under control. This is all possible due to fundraising and research.
I hope you are able to join me this year! To start you would just need to go to our website to register for my team Val's Victorious Gals.
Please do not hesitate as the Walk is just 8 weeks away on Sunday September 12th, 2021 If you have any questions, I'm here. I'm looking forward to another amazing year with all your support for my team!
Just a bit about this so worthy cause,
Today, thousands of Canadian women are living with ovarian cancer and another 2,800 will be diagnosed this year.
Each of these women is central to a family. Every one of these women has people who love her. Just being there to support and honor her means everything. That’s why our team is participating with thousands of others at the Ovarian Cancer Canada Walk of Hope.
The Walk celebrates the hope we carry with us every day – the hope for a future without this disease.
Every dollar we raise supports Ovarian Cancer Canada, the only national charity entirely dedicated to this important cause. Funds will be used to provide support, increase awareness, and fund vital research so that we can change the future for the women we love.
So let's do this ladies! Sunday September 12th!!!
Love, Valerie <3
