Team Jules

Welcome Team Jules,

Everyone that knew Jules/mom knew how generous and kind she was. She always put other people before herself, and was willing to go leaps and bounds to help her family and friends. In order to honour moms legacy, I am asking everyone to join me on Sunday September 12th at Point Pelee National Park, at noon for the Ovarian Cancer Walk of Hope to help educate and raise funds for more research. Did you know there is no screening test to detect ovarian cancer and only 20% of ovarian cancers are detected at an early stage? With a dominant family history and present genetic mutation, this disease will continue to effect our family. With more money put into research, the hope is to find specific and concrete early detection screening tests to lower the impact of this disease and increase treatment outcomes.

Today, thousands of Canadian women are living with ovarian cancer and another 3,100 will be diagnosed this year.

Every dollar our team raises supports Ovarian Cancer Canada, the only national charity that champions the health and well-being of women with ovarian cancer and others at risk of this disease. Funds will be used to fund vital research, spur advocacy efforts, and provide support so that we can help women with, or at risk of, ovarian cancer live fuller, better, longer lives.
