On September 12th I'm Walking for My Sister
Dear Friends and Family,
This year on Sunday September 12,2021 we will be walking for “Her”. Every year in Canada, there are 3,100 women diagnosed wiht ovarian cancer. Whether a mother, daughter, sister, friend or colleague each and everyone of these women play an important and integral role within their communities and with those who love them.
The Ovarian Cancer Walk of Hope will be a virtual event this year because of COVID-19. Many of us will be walking together, adhering to social distancing measures.
We walk in memory of my beloved sister Esterina who courageously fought this disease for over a decade. This year it has been ten years since my sister passed. In honour of her memory we continue to walk with the goal of advancing reasearch and knowledge about ovarian cancer.
I would like to thank everyone who has generously supported us in the past and ask for your continued support.
Ovarian Cancer Canada is the only national charity entirely dedicated to aid those women who live with the disease and their families as well as advancing ongoing vital research.
