Welcome to my personal page!
Once again, I am participating in the Ovarian Cancer Walk of Hope in honour of my friend Valerie Stevenson.
Valerie, along with thousands of other Canadian women are living with ovarian cancer and another 2,800 will be diagnosed this year.
Valerie was diagnosed with ovarian cancer in October 2014 and for the last 7 years has been standing strong due to advances made through research. She is on medication that continues to keep this disease under control. This is all possible due to fundraising and research.
She continues to fight this disease and I am praying that she will soon be cancer free.
Every dollar I raise supports Ovarian Cancer Canada, the only national charity that champions the health and well-being of women with ovarian cancer and others at risk of this disease. Funds will be used to fund vital research, spur advocacy efforts, and provide support so that we can help women with, or at risk of, ovarian cancer live fuller, better, longer lives.
I would truly appreciate any donation toward this very important research and cause. Better yet, if you are up for a challenge this September, come out and join me on Valerie's team - Val's Victorious Gals! Together we all can make a difference.
