Welcome to My Personal Page!
Along with my team, the PoleWalkers for a Cure, for the nineth year I will be walking proudly for all women and families affected by ovarian cancer.
I have been cancer free for 21 years now. I feel so fortunate to have the continuing support of so many. I know the importance of giving back and try in my small way to change and save the lives of women. I know first hand the effect ovarian cancer can have on us, our families and our friends.
The Walk celebrates the hope I carry with me every day – the hope for a future without this disease.
I'm walking to raise awareness; I’m walking to raise valuable funds needed to support women living with cancer, to fund research into early detection and improved treatments for women so we can all live long and healthy lives. I’m walking so women recently diagnosed and living with ovarian cancer know they are not alone.
This year 3,100 Canadian women will be diagnosed with ovarian cancer. There is only a 46% five year survival rate. That's not good enough. That's why this year I'm aiming high and my team fundraising goal will be $31,000.
Help me make a much-needed difference by donating to the Ovarian Cancer Canada Walk of Hope and joining me and the Polewalkers for a Cure on the Walk.
Your donation can help women with ovarian cancer and all women at risk of the disease live fuller, better, longer lives. We can make a difference.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
