“Team 4 Fighters” is a group of University of Alberta dental hygiene students, faculty, alumni and friends walking in memory of Professor Patricia (Patty) Gainer.  As our Team 4 clinical lead, she held a very special place in our hearts. For many years she was an essential member of the dental hygiene program. She spent hours teaching us how to be strong, knowledgable, compassionate dental hygienists. She inspired us to fight for a brighter future for cancer fighters everywhere.

Over the past two years, "Team 4 Fighters" has raised over $26,000 for the Walk of Hope.
