Welcome to My Personal Page!
You made it to my page! I want to keep this as short & sweet as possible as I don't want to lose you before I finish rambling!
I am passionate about this disease. My beautiful Mom had breast cancer and was celebrating 10 years of No Evidence of Disease (NED) when she found her Ovarian Cancer (OC) too late and passed away.
As you know I was diagnosed with OC in May 2021, I had surgery then 6 rounds of chemo. As of January 17, 2022 I have been found to be NED!
This cancer is a very silent disease, often experiencing symptoms that only whisper and mimic what we women already feel as normal. LISTEN TO YOUR BODY...it may be whispering something.
My symptoms: Frequent Urinating ~ Menstrual Cramps ~ Nausea ~ Tired ~ Bloating
Sadly this cancer likes to be a jerk and keep coming back. So I need to raise awareness so it doesn't happen to others. By doing this walk and hopefully raising some money for continued research this disease will become a thing of the past.
Thanks for reading. I hope you consider donating to my walk or register to join me!
Today, thousands of Canadians are living with ovarian cancer and approximately 3,100 will be diagnosed this year. But today - we are paving the way for a brighter tomorrow.
Let’s raise the teal flag and show our support for the women and families affected by ovarian cancer. Together, our fundraising and participation in the Walk will spur advocacy efforts to provide the best possible care, further scientific progress, and ensure that all those diagnosed know that they are not alone.
That’s why I’m joining the thousands of other participants at the Ovarian Cancer Canada Walk of Hope. Precious lives depend on it, and the community deserves it.
Every dollar I raise supports Ovarian Cancer Canada, the only national charity dedicated to overcoming this disease.
Every step and every dollar create a brighter future for those affected by ovarian cancer. Please consider donating to my Walk or register to join me!
Thank you for your support. It means the world to me, and everyone affected by this disease.
