Welcome to The Beagle Walk of Hope
Last year, we spoke about our experience since Linda’s diagnosis of ovarian cancer just before Christmas 2018. Ovarian cancer is a recurring battle for many women; so too it returned for us this past January 2022. After 6 months of chemo, the new tumors have shrunk a bit but are not gone. In a few weeks, Linda will start another regimen of drugs known to have side-effects. We continue to share our story in order to promote ovarian cancer research and program funding.
Several years ago, I created an Instagram account @lilycopperbeagle for our rescue dogs. While the account was just for fun, I had not expected to become part of a virtual community of support, invited into the lives of other animal lovers and compassionate people around the world. Most importantly, we were honoured to join with new friends in raising funds to try to change our world, sometimes one small life at a time but often watching individual donations mount up to thousands of dollars to support our causes.
Once again, we are committed to raising funds for OCC during this month of Ovarian Cancer Awareness. So if you have read this far, I thank you — we thank you! And hope that you will donate, spread the word, and ask others to join our mission.
Linda and Ruth … Copper, Lily, Brody ... & Reese too!
