"Leave behind your sorrows. Let this day be the last.
Tomorrow there'll be sunshine. And all this darkness past"
- Bruce Springsteen, Land of Hope and Dreams
Every year we will continue to walk in memory of my beautiful mom, Shaun Hay, our ShaunShine. I hope you are able to join the team again this year or join us for the first time and come walk in her memory. This walk always meant so much to my mom and she was passionate about seeing more research done for this "silent killer" we call Ovarian Cancer. If you aren't able to come join us on this special day, consider making a donation. Every dollar makes a difference. Thank you for your support in memory of my momma.
Team fundraising goal? ...We are aiming even higher this year... bigger and better... I have set our team goal to $20,000!!! ... Who is ready for the challenge? Last year our goal was $15,000 and we exceed that. Since mom's passing, we have raised over $30,000 for Ovarian Cancer Canada!!!

Today, thousands of Canadian women are living with ovarian cancer and another 2,800 will be diagnosed this year.
Each of these women is central to a family. Every one of these women has people who love her. Just being there to support and honor her means everything. That’s why our team is rallying with the community at the Ovarian Cancer Canada Walk of Hope.

The Walk celebrates the hope we carry with us every day – the hope for a future without this disease.

Every dollar we raise supports Ovarian Cancer Canada, the only national charity entirely dedicated to this important cause. Funds will be used to provide support, increase awareness, and fund vital research so that we can change the future for the women we love.

Please provide your support by giving generously. Better yet, if you are up for a challenge this September, come out and join us. Together we can make a difference.
