Welcome to My Personal Page

The Ovarian Cancer Walk of Hope is tomorrow, September 10. As many of you already know, our daughter, our warrior, Carrie, has lost her battle and so her Dad, Ken, her brother, Keith and I will be walking in her honour.
Carrie fought as long as she could until the quality of life just wasn't there anymore. To quote her words "There isn't any HAPPY".
To those who have already donated, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Your support means to world to us and it is our hope and prayer that your dollars will help find, if not a cure, better methods of early detection so that other young women and their families will not experience the devastation of this disease.
If you are a woman, especially between the ages of 50 & 65, pay attention to your body and if you notice changes, such as bloating, lack of appetite, changes in bowel movements, or shortness of breath, question them. And gentlemen, remind the women in your lives to do this. Right now the best hope for early detection is the blood test CA125 and a vaginal ultrasound. Ask your doctor ... no better yet, demand that your doctor follow through.
Ovarian Cancer Canada is accelerating progress faster than ever before. By supporting the Walk, you are funding vital research, education and support programming and access to care and treatment that will save lives.
Obviously, this important cause is very close to our hearts, and we greatly appreciate any support you can show for our Walk by donating here:
