Five Years Cancer-Free
Today, thousands of Canadian women are living with ovarian cancer.
I was one of the lucky ones. I had a rare, slow growing cancer that we caught at stage one. Most other women don't discover it until stage three or stage four because the symptoms are so difficult to recognize.
I was in the middle of training for the 2018 Boston Marathon when ovarian cancer sidelined me. I roared back and requalified, and finally ran the Boston Marathon in 2021.
After completing the Chicago Marathon I decided to hang up my running shoes for a while. There is more fundraising to do, so this year, let's raise some money for Ovarian Cancer Canada and celebrate the fact that I reached the 5 Year Cancer-Free Milestone in 2023.
Thank you for donating to a future without ovarian cancer!
