Welcome to Holly's Personal Page
In May 2023 I was diagnosed with a rare type of ovarian cancer (2-4% of all ovarian cancers) called granulosa cell tumor (GCT). After a successful surgery, the prognosis is good for me with monitoring for life as this type of cancer likes to come back! Symptoms prior to surgery diagnosis (and for all women to be aware of) included ovarian pain, back / piriformis pain, bloating, constipation, fatigue, feeling unwell and bleeding.
Today, thousands of Canadians are living with ovarian cancer - the deadliest type of women's cancer - and approximately 3,000 will be diagnosed this year. I’m determined to improve outcomes for all those affected by the disease.
By participating and fundraising for the Ovarian Cancer Canada Walk of Hope, I’m making ovarian cancer a priority to fund vital research that will save lives, ensuring educational resources and support programs are available for those who need it. Every dollar I raise supports Ovarian Cancer Canada, the only national charity dedicated to overcoming this disease.
Please donate to my Walk now or sign up to join me because there simply isn’t time to wait. Together, we can improve outcomes – for good.
Thank you so much for your support. It means the world to me, and everyone affected by this disease!
