Hello Friends and Family: 

 

My amazing story continues moving into my 8th year this fall of living with ovarian cancer.  Diagnosed in late 2015, followed by surgery in early 2016, I have been in and out of treatment and drug trials during those many years.  By the grace of God and all the health care teams of doctors, nurses, pharmacists, dieticians and of course, the advancements in research, medicines and drugs, I have defied the odds.  Thankfully, the support given by surrounding myself with positive, happy people gives me the extra boost to keep looking ahead ... one day at a time.  Humour is the best medicine!

Today, thousands of Canadians are living with ovarian cancer and approximately 3,000 will be diagnosed this year. It’s time to pick up the pace for ovarian cancer. Enough is enough and I’m determined to improve outcomes for all those affected by the disease.

 

By participating and fundraising for the Ovarian Cancer Canada Walk of Hope, I’m making ovarian cancer a priority. I'm funding vital research that will save lives, ensuring educational resources and support programs are available for those who need it, and fueling advocacy efforts because everyone deserves to live life to the fullest.

 

Every dollar I raise supports Ovarian Cancer Canada, the only national charity dedicated to overcoming this disease.
