Welcome to My Personal Page
I was diagnosed with Borderline Mucinous Ovarian cancer in August 2020. It is a rare type of Ovarian cancer that doesn't respond to typical oncology treatments. I am very lucky in that my cancer was caught at an extremely early stage. Not everyone is so lucky. Ovarian cancer is one of the deadliest of cancers and approximately 3,100 Canadian women will be diagnosed this year. The symptoms are very subtle and easily missed in our busy lives until too late.
This is my third year participating in the Walk of Hope. I do this very small thing in order to raise awareness of Ovarian cancer. I enjoy the fellowship of other women who have gone through similar challenges and it makes me feel less alone. I also do this in the hopes that my particular type of cancer will eventually have the attention it needs so that more effective treatments can be developed.
Every dollar I raise supports Ovarian Cancer Canada, the only national charity dedicated to overcoming this disease. Every step and every dollar create a brighter future for those affected by ovarian cancer. Please consider donating to my Walk or register to join me!
Thank you for your support. It means the world to me, and everyone affected by this disease.
