Welcome to My Personal Page
Seven years from diagnosis in September 2016 WOW It feels like a million years ago and just yesterday sometimes but I am so lucky to still be here - healthy and happy in PEI
The highlight of this year was the Lady Ball on June 1 I was asked to model and wore a gorgeous pale teal outfit from JEMS which I could never afford but was gifted to me by a dear friend and fellow committee member Every time I wear it I get compliments from random strangers. Being pampered with hair and makeup at Grand Senses Spa was incredible I’ve never felt anything like the love and energy in that room $82,000 raised but funds are still needed for crucial education and research as well as support of Teal Sisters diagnosed with this disease
It is for them and all other woman that I walk to raise these funds
Today, thousands of Canadians are living with ovarian cancer and approximately 3,100 will be diagnosed this year. But today - we are paving the way for a brighter tomorrow.
Let’s raise the teal flag and sunflowers!! and show our support for the women and families affected by ovarian cancer. Together, our fundraising and participation in the Walk will spur advocacy efforts to provide the best possible care, further scientific progress, and ensure that all those diagnosed know that they are not alone.
Thank you for your support. It means the world to me, and everyone affected by this disease.
