In memory of my beautiful momma, Weezie
On September 28, 2014, we lost our beautiful & amazing mother, Louise Whitten, to ovarian cancer. She had already battled breast cancer twice and both times early detection made a huge difference to her and those of us who loved her. Unfortunately, to date, there is no technology for early detection of ovarian cancer. That had the worst possible effect on our family, because as a result we lost our beautiful Weezie. She was the most loving and selfless person I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. It would have meant so much to her to be able to prevent any other woman and their family's from going through what she and our family went through upon her diagnosis. This is why I am walking and encouraging all of you to join Team Weezie and walk/donate from your heart to this so very important cause. Together, we can walk towards making a difference , fundraising for the development of early detection technology.
GO TEAM WEEZIE!!!!!
