Dear Friends:

Another year has gone by and I am in no better shape. In fact, I completed only have of the walk last year. Given that I have not been practicing for 5K (but still doing a lot of walking), I may not fare any better this year! It does help to walk with "Margie's Gang" though. The walk is on September 10th and the next day I go to England.

I am walking in memory of Margie Gass, a remarkable woman who left this life WAY too early. Margie was a Foreign Service officer who travelled around the world and raised three children with her husband. She had boundless energy and wonderful artistic ability as well as a kind heart. She worked tirelessly on behalf of Ovarian Cancer Canada in the Maritimes, even when she knew a cure would not come in time for her.
