Welcome to my page.
In 2017 my sister Donna was diagnosed with Grade 2 serous ovarian cancer. It marked the beginning of a difficult two-year battle - one that she faced head-on with courage, self-reflection, optimism and yes, even her trademark humor. Losing her was a profound loss, much like losing my own limb.
Walking in her memory is my way to cope - a proactive approach to deal with grief. So I walk for Donna. I walk to keep her alive and safe, tucked away in my heart. I walk to put ovarian cancer out of business.
It's time to pick up the pace with ovarian cancer awareness and research. By participating and fundraising for the Ovarian Cancer Canada Walk of Hope, I'm helping to fund vital research that will save lives and fuel advocacy efforts. Every dollar I raise supports Ovarian Cancer Canada, the only national charity dedicated to overcoming this disease.
